Studio membership is available to Past and Present students at Peaceful Potter only.

Studio Time is available by the quarter.  All studio members must have taken at least one 5 week session at Peaceful Potter to be eligible for membership and be in good standing with the studio.  The Winter quarter includes April, May, and June. Studio Time allows access to our potter’s wheels, hand building equipment, slab roller, extruder, texture tools, clay, and glazes.  Firing is an additional fee.

Studio Time includes studio clay, which is a mixture of new and reclaimed Standard 225, use of pottery equipment, and access to at least 10 dippable glazes, at least 20 paintable glazes, and 4 different slip colors. Each Studio Potter gets a four foot long shelf to store their in process items on. Studio Time is available Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from noon-7pm.  We have also added Tuesdays from 10am-5pm!  All equipment is available on a first come, first served basis.

Firing fees are extra. Maximum size limits are 12 wide or 24 inches high Width and height are determined by how a piece will be standing during a glaze firing. Any item over 8 inches in any direction will have a significant delay in firing.  We are a teaching/ social studio, so potters are limited to firing a maximum of 30 pots per month. No outside materials may be added to your work. No completely closed forms allowed. (sculptures must be hollowed and vented.) All studio potters must register with the front desk prior to using the studio for the first time. No piece may be more than 1/2 inch thick at any point.

Studio potters may bring in outside glazes and unlimited underglazes each quarter that have been preapproved by Eileen or Ashley.  Outside glazes may not be shared and must be recorded and a test tile created prior to use.

Any potter finding that they need a second shelf may rent one for $50 per month.  Shelves may not be shared.
