Vases, Bottles, and Goblets Mondays, 7-9 pm, beginning 7/10/23

This class requires that you have taken Intro to Pottery AND Intermediate throwing, or have had a semester of college level experience or have similar experience. The fundamentals of throwing are not taught in this class.

In this class we will be gaining height and learning to collar in necks and stems. We will focus on posture and speed control in order to achieve greater height.

In order to gain height you will learn how to hinge from the hips, not just the shoulders, so all students should be able to stand for prolonged periods of time to achieve these results.

Price includes all clay, glazes, and firing of up to 10 pieces. Students attend once a week for 6 weeks. Classes are 2 hours long.

Students are required to have their own basic pottery tool kit which can be purchased online or from the studio. This includes an 8 piece basic pottery tool kit, bucket, large cleaning sponge, and a small towel. Class is for adults only.
