Surface Decoration for Adults Only, Wednesdays, 7-9 pm, beginning 7/12/23

We will make glazing less mysterious and learn how to alter the surface of our forms in order to create different surface designs. We will cover carving, s’graffito, slip trailing, mishima, and glaze layering basics. Students must have taken at least the Intro to Pottery class. This class focuses on surface decoration. Forming items by hand or one the wheel is not taught in this class.

Price includes all clay, glazes, and firing of up to 10 pieces. Students attend once a week for 6 weeks. Classes are 2 hours long.

Students are required to have their own basic pottery tool kit which can be purchased online or from the studio. This includes an 8 piece basic pottery tool kit, bucket, large cleaning sponge, and a small towel. Class is for adults only.
