Intermediate Throwing Part II- Tuesdays, 7-9 PM, Fall 2022

This class adds on to the skill set you acquired in Intro to Pottery and Intermediate Throwing Part I. We will continue to hone in our skills and add in new skills including:  making vessels from multiple pieces, altering thrown forms, surface decoration, and fitted lids and galleys.

The prerequisite of this class is both intro to pottery or similar experience.  Students who have not come from our intro class will be asked to throw a 5 inch cylinder and attach a thrown handle to demonstrate ability.

Price includes all clay, glazes, and firing of up to 10 pieces.  Price also includes 8 additional hours of studio time for students to work independently on their projects.  Studio hours must be used before the last week of class.  Students attend once a week for 7 weeks.  Classes are 2 hours long.

Students are required to have their own basic pottery tool kit which can be purchased online or from the studio if you do not already have these items.  This includes an 8 pieces basic pottery tool kit, bucket, large cleaning sponge, and a small towel.
