Kids Classes
Art classes help students learn to think creative and have proven to increase scores in other curricula, such as STEM classes. We are often told by students and their parents that pottery has a soothing effect on them.
We have both pottery and creative arts classes for kids. Classes are 1 hour long, once a week, for 4 months. All supplies are included in the price of the class.
Adult Classes
Adult pottery classes include both hand building and learning how to thrown on the potters wheel. The cost includes all clay, glazes, firing, and tools. Class is once a week for 7 weeks. If you have been throwing for a while or have never touched clay, we have a class for you. Must be 16 or older to join.
Open Studio
Open Studio time is available to potters who have previous pottery experience. You must be able to work independently and safely with minimal supervision to attend.
You may pay for a 7 week set at $250 for the set, or walk ins are $20/hour. The cost includes the use of up to 5lbs of clay per hour, glazes, and firing. No outside materials or items of any kind may be brought into the studio for use. Nichrome or Kanthal wire will be made available for armature at an additional cost and newspaper will be available for free.
Each potter who signs up for a 7 week set will receive a half shelf for their items in case they have a piece that requires slowed drying or several weeks to complete.
